ISLAMABAD:
I-9 Police Station SHO Khalid Mehmood Awan has confirmed that he received an application from civil society seeking the registration of a blasphemy case
against five
missing activists including professor Salman Haider.
The SHO said that he was going to register a complaint
agains
t the five
missing activists. He added that following registration of the complaint, the application would be forwarded to the legal branch immediately to seek their opinion in connection with registration of the case.
Awan
further stated tha
t the case under section 295 would be registered
agains
t the accused as soon as legal opinion was received on the matter.
